Abdul Qadus

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Abdul Qadus, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AQ Global Ventures

Abdul Qadus founded AQ Global Ventures in Lahore, where the company is registered and operates. He came to it after more than ten years in Muscat, Oman — working across oil and gas, construction and commissioning, technical services and support, and import and export. His specialism is technical supplies: the parts, equipment and materials that have to be exactly right or the plant does not run.

That market set the standard the company works to. In Oman a supplier is judged on whether the documentation survives an audit, whether the delivery date is met rather than explained, and whether a vendor was qualified before it was trusted. The purpose of AQ Global Ventures is to hold that standard for Pakistani buyers, from an office they can walk into.

It is also why the company does not stop at supply. Someone who has commissioned equipment knows which spare actually fits, which certificate the client will be asked for on handover, and which quoted lead time is real. He runs the business hands-on — every account has him on it, and escalations come to his phone rather than into a queue.

"The price is the easy part. What a client is actually buying is the certainty that the thing arrives on the day we said it would, with the paperwork in order."

  • Oil & gas

Where the tolerance for a wrong part or a missing certificate is lowest, and where the documentation discipline came from.

  • Construction & commissioning

Staging material against a programme rather than a purchase order, and knowing what a site actually needs on the day.

  • Technical services & support

Installation, servicing and fault-finding on the equipment we supply — not handed to a subcontractor and forgotten.

  • Import & export

Sourcing abroad, bank and shipping documentation, and the customs work that decides whether a shipment moves or sits.
